I am pleased to announce a Trail Life USA, Rifle Trail Badge class.

We will cover the requirements for the Trail Life USA Rifle Trail Badge, Shooting Sports Orientation, and the NRA Basic Rifle course.

We will provide rifles, ammunition, targets, and training materials. The “Pick 3” for the Trail Badge will be the NRA Basic Rifle course, shooting range games, and a shooting sampler day with many different rifle action types.

You should bring a notebook, pen or pencil, a highlighter, and lunch for Saturday. On Sunday, also bring hearing and eye protection, and sunscreen.

Who?
Youth in Trail Life Navigators or Adventurers, parents, and leaders are invited to take part.

You must provide either 2-deep leadership, or a parent or guardian.

When?
Saturday, June 14, 9 am-6 pm and Sunday, June 15, 1 pm-5 pm

Where?
We will be in a classroom with running water, climate control, and a bathroom on Saturday. On Sunday, we will be at an outdoor range with a bathroom. The classroom is in McLoud, OK, and the range is in Tecumseh, OK.

In the note field, please include your troop number. A separate registration is needed for each person attending.

What is the cost?
The public classes for the NRA Basic Rifle in our area start at $100 plus range fees, and the student must provide ammunition and rifles.

The adult cost for this weekend class is $80 and only covers the NRA Basic Rifle course, targets, ammunition, and rifles to qualify. Limiting the scope for adults to the NRA Basic Rifle course is to keep the cost down.

The youth cost for this weekend class is $100. This includes all of the training materials for the Trail Life Rifle badge, the NRA Basic Rifle course, range and classroom fees, rifles, ammunition, targets, shooting range games, etc. The Trail Life badge requires additional targets and ammunition.

When and how to pay?
A deposit of $20 per student is due at registration, and the balance is due on the first day of class. You can use any of these methods to pay the deposit. You can pay the balance electronically or with cash on the day of class.
